Custom Prototype and Low-Volume Manufacturing Services
Zhufeng Precision (Dongguan Zhufeng Precision Technology Co., Ltd.) helps engineers, product developers and industrial buyers turn CAD files into real parts. We focus on what large-volume factories usually refuse: one-off prototypes, pilot runs and small-batch orders of custom metal and plastic parts.
Low-Volume CNC Machining
CNC milling and turning for aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass and engineering plastics. From 1 piece to a few thousand.
CNC machining →One-Off CNC Machined Parts
Single custom parts, replacement parts and fixtures machined from your drawing or sample — no need to order hundreds.
One-off parts →Small-Batch Sheet Metal Fabrication
Laser cutting, CNC bending, forming and welding for brackets, enclosures, panels and chassis.
Sheet metal →Custom Prototype Metal Parts
Functional metal prototypes for design validation, fit checks and testing before you commit to tooling.
Metal prototypes →Rapid Metal Prototyping
Fast-turn machined and sheet metal prototypes so your development schedule keeps moving.
Rapid prototyping →Plastic Parts & Injection Molding
Machined plastic prototypes, mold making and injection molded plastic parts for the next production stage.
OEM manufacturing →Built for Prototypes and Small Orders — Not Just Mass Production
Many factories quote only when you order thousands of pieces. Our workflow is set up for engineering-stage projects, where quantities are small, drawings change and speed matters.
- Single-piece prototypes accepted — quote by drawing, not by MOQ
- Low-volume production from 10 to a few thousand pieces
- Pilot runs and bridge production before your mass-production tooling is ready
- Non-standard custom parts, replacement parts and fixtures made from drawings or samples
- Seamless scale-up — the same team moves your approved prototype into batch production
| Order stage | Typical quantity |
|---|---|
| Prototype / proof of concept | 1 – 10 pcs |
| Engineering validation / pilot run | 10 – 100 pcs |
| Low-volume production | 100 – 5,000 pcs |
| Repeat / OEM orders | By schedule |
Very small orders may carry a minimum machining charge. We state it clearly on the quote — no hidden costs.
Materials, Finishes and Quality Control
We machine and fabricate common engineering materials and coordinate a full range of surface finishes, so you receive parts that are ready to assemble.
Metals
Aluminum 6061 / 6063 / 7075 / 5052, stainless steel 303 / 304 / 316, carbon steel, mild steel, brass, copper.
Plastics
POM (Delrin), ABS, PC, Nylon (PA), PMMA (acrylic), PP, PEEK and other engineering plastics on request.
Surface Finishes
Anodizing (clear / color / hard), powder coating, painting, sandblasting, brushing, polishing, plating, passivation, laser marking.
Quality Control
Drawing review before production, in-process checks and final dimensional inspection. Inspection reports and photos available on request.
How to Order Custom Parts from Your Drawing
Upload your drawing
Send 2D (PDF/DWG) and 3D (STEP/IGES) files with quantity, material and finish.
Engineering review
An engineer checks manufacturability, tolerances and cost drivers, and suggests improvements.
Quotation
You receive a clear quote with unit price, lead time and any minimum charge.
Sample confirmation
For new parts we can make a first article for you to approve before the batch.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
We accept orders from a single piece. For very small orders a minimum machining charge may apply, which we show clearly on the quotation. See our low-MOQ custom metal parts page for details.
Which file formats do you accept?
STEP, STP, IGES, X_T, SLDPRT for 3D models and PDF, DWG, DXF for 2D drawings. If you only have a sample or a sketch, contact us and our engineers will help.
Which manufacturing processes do you offer?
CNC milling, CNC turning, sheet metal fabrication (laser cutting, bending, welding) and plastic injection molding, plus surface finishing.
How long does a prototype take?
Simple machined prototypes are typically ready in a few working days after drawing confirmation. Lead time depends on complexity, material, finish and quantity and is confirmed on every quote.
Will my drawings be kept confidential?
Yes. Drawings are used only for quotation and production, and we are happy to sign an NDA before you send files.
Can you continue to batch production after the prototype?
Yes. Once your prototype is approved, we can move the same part into low-volume or OEM production with consistent quality.
Have a Drawing? Let’s Review Your Project.
Send your PDF, STEP or DWG file with quantity and material. An engineer reviews every drawing and replies with a quotation and DFM suggestions — usually within 24 hours.
